New Moon Ceremony

6:30-8:00 pm at Bala Yoga Kirkland

$15 Pre-Register $20 At The Door

Moon Circles are gatherings that are held on or near the new moon every month. These circles are an opportunity to come together to create community. We develop a closer relationship to each other, to the cycles of nature, and to our own internal world. We come together to remember that we are magic, and that we are more powerful together than we are alone.

These circles are not associated with a singular path or religion, but rather, an inclusive coming together from all paths. We all come from different spiritual/cultural backgrounds and gather around the ideas of: Community (having each others backs, empowering one another), a respect for the earth (wildness, turning to nature as a teacher) & co-creation (the understanding that just as we co-create our experience in circle, so do we co-create life on earth). We also tend to be a heart-centered bunch, with laughter & tears welcomed!

A New Moon marks the beginning of a new cycle when the moon is empty and receptive and full of potential. This is the optimal time to plant seeds of intentions for what you wish to manifest in your life.

Moon Circles are held every month on or near the night of the new moon at Bala Yoga in Kirkland and are open to all.

Being and Becoming - Applied Vulnerability

“Real fearlessness is the product of tenderness. It comes from letting the world to tickle your heart, your raw and beautiful heart. You are willing to open up without resistance or shyness, and face the world. You are willing to share your heart with others.” -Chögyam Trungpa

Our bodies and hearts are infinitely wise; let’s give them a chance to speak, dance, and express their harborings in an inclusive space. Let’s move past fear into the realm of intimate connection.

Through introspection, connection, and applied vulnerability we will explore our comfort zones and our boundaries. We will move through several exercises to practice being fully present with the sticky and empowering world of the vulnerable. From this we will gain a deeper strength and resolve for who we are, where we’ve come from, and the ways we are still growing.

Intro to Om

In this workshop we will learn the history, stages, and proper pronunciation of the sacred mantra Om. Once the analytic mind is satisfied we will embody the power of Om and bath ourselves in an Om Mala, chanting this sound 108 times together. An incredible and potent experience.
